Jennifer teaches active Hatha yoga and is influenced by her teachers:Rod Stryker, Shiva Rea and

Ana Forrest. Her fluid sequences of postures lead the practitioner through experiencing the breath, to

a state of clarity and calm. Jennifer is capable of teaching anyone and provides variations for different level students.

 

In each class, we begin with setting intention by tuning into the existing state of body and mind. An individual determination is made on how to approach the practice. We begin warming up the major areas of the body before moving into the main core of the class. We typically focus on a particular set

of postures building progressively to them. We wind down with some restorative postures until the final relaxation in savasana. After 5-10 minutes in this totally passive posture, we do some pranayama (breathwork) and closing meditation.

 

You will be guided through each posture and encouraged to move from within, listening to your body with awareness of the mind. This creates a safe environment in which to explore and challenge one’s self with safety, support and encouragement. Jennifer’s soothing voice, creative language and sense of rhythm lend the class to having a flow that pulls the practitioner deeper into their experiences, away from the distractions of the outer world.
